The detailed review and study is suggesting whether strength and aerobic training responses mutually exclusive. Some studies suggest that concurrent endurance training leads to a decline in strength-like adaptations in training programmes. This is mainly due to the interference of the molecular signaling pathways as a result of both exercise stimuli. Training regimes need to be designed specific to the athlete including rest and nutritional intake, finding the optimal combination of strength and aerobic training required.
